Job Responsibilities

In the role as an Embedded Software Application Consultant you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and validating embedded software applications for automotive powertrain and electric drive unit (EDU) systems. This role involves designing and integrating application-layer software that interacts with hardware and middleware to ensure optimal system performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

• Develop and integrate application-layer software for embedded automotive systems.
• Implement and optimize control algorithms for EDU and powertrain applications.
• Design and integrate model-based software (MBD) using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262 (functional safety), and ISO/SAE 21434 (cybersecurity).
• Conduct SiL, HiL, and vehicle testing to validate software performance.
• Optimize CPU and memory usage for efficient execution.
• Troubleshoot and debug software using tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, and Vector DaVinci.
• Maintain software version control and documentation using Git or SVN.
• Work closely with software, hardware, and calibration teams to align software functionality with system requirements.
• Support Agile development processes, CI/CD, and software reviews.

Education, Experience, and Personal Characteristics

• BSc within Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
• Experience in developing real-time embedded applications.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive Platform.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience in CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet communication.
• You are fluent in English and if you have a knowledge of Mandarin, Swedish or German it is a plus.
