Job Responsibilities

As a Software Test Engineer Consultant you will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating test plans to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of automotive software systems. This role involves collaborating with development teams to define testing requirements, identify defects, and validate software functionalities under various conditions. You will employ advanced testing tools and methodologies to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Your expertise will play a vital role in delivering robust and high-quality software solutions for automotive embedded systems that are ready to meet the future.

• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Set up and configure test environments to replicate real-world conditions.
• Identify, track, and prioritize software defects using defect tracking tools.
• Conduct performance, stress, and scalability testing to validate software reliability.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for defects and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence
• Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements for validation and compliance purposes.

Education, Experience, and Personal Characteristics

• BSc in Computer Science or another related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as Software Tester, preferably in the automotive or electric driveline sector.
• Strong knowledge of coding, including Python
• You are fluent in English and if you have a knowledge of Mandarin, Swedish or German it is a plus.
