Together, we form a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and efficient decision-making. You will join the Design team within the Product Development department.

Tasks and responsibilities

As a Senior Semiconductor Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing high-performance optoelectronic devices, collaborating with industry-leading experts, and directly contributing to our next-generation products.

Key responsibilities

• Model and simulate semiconductor optoelectronic devices such as quantum-well based lasers and modulators, to support design optimization and verification process
• Design test structures and specify test methods to extract specific material and design parameters
• Perform advanced device characterization in the lab to validate the design and extract the design parameters needed for modeling and design improvement iterations
• Develop and specify test methods and procedures for performance evaluation
• Collaborate daily with on-site teams, including Chip Design, Wafer Fabrication Process Engineering, Operations, and Project Management.

Education, experience and personal characteristics

• Broad technical competence in the fields of material physics, semiconductor and optoelectronic devices and technology, numerical modelling
• Deep expertise in specific areas in the fields of multi quantum-well based optoelectronic devices, and semiconductor device modelling
• PhD with a minimum of 5 years, or MSc with a minimum of 10 years, of professional experience in semiconductor electronic or optoelectronic devices.
• Proficiency in English (oral and written); Swedish proficiency is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, initiative, and organizational skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills are preferred.
